Posted on 28 November 2016

Noreen Goodwin, mother of eight, business women and philanthropist - the women who makes it all work. She has strong views on women and family,  a healthy outlook to organisation as well as her commitment to looking stylish during her daily activities. This is one inspirational mother.

Noreen is pictured here at the Queen Victoria's Memorial wearing Ellie Jacket and Lizzie Sweater

Who or what last made you laugh out loud
My daughters email to her friend comparing how bored they all were! How dare they be bored!

Who or what inspires you
Malala for all she has endured as a young lady, how she has used her trauma positively and inspires other women.  And of course my wonderful mother.

Your words to live by
Live in the moment.

What cause or causes do you feel passionate about
There are too many causes in this world to feel passionate about.  I think the future of this world lies in the hands of women.  I feel strongly that the education of women and girls is the key to creating a better non-violent, non-weapon world.

Best piece of advice you’ve ever been given
It has to be from my mother – stay natural, don’t frown and don’t meddle with your hair.  I have heeded by her advice and it has done me well.

Your London in an hour
Early morning swim in The Serpentine, breakfast at Colbert and a game of tennis with the children at The Hurlingham Club.

Your favourite London view
It has to be the drive down The Mall with Buckingham Palace standing in all it’s glory ahead of you – it takes my breath away overtime.

Are you working on anything at present
I am working with some Malaysian investors wanting to gather a portfolio of British fashion brands, such pleasant people and they embrace everything British.

Describe your style
I am not a fashionable person but I have my own style that suits me. I would typically wear a cashmere jumper with a beautifully tailored skirt and a well-worn pair of Converse to give it some edge. I love vintage, sample sales and a little bit of the high-street. Grooming but not over-groomed can be terribly aging and so 1980s.

Whose style do you most admire, past or present
It has to be Laura Bailey – I always strain my neck to see what she’s wearing – the epitome of British cool.

Favourite piece from the ENLIST collection
A hard question as there are so many lovely pieces however my favourite is The Emily Sweater, a slouchy cool jumper at its best.  Definitely a hero piece that will stay in your wardrobe for years to come.
