Who or what last made you laugh out loud
My children who come out with very funny things all the time and don’t know how amusing they are.

Who or what inspires you
It depends on the subject matter! Work-wise I am and always have been inspired by what’s new and groundbreaking. I hope that comes across on my website Getthegloss.com. I don’t like to follow the crowd. The people who inspire me in daily life are not famous people or people in positions of power but probably my friends who have really been through the mill. They are the ones I really admire and love. If you’re talking about creativity then I am inspired by lots of things – I am always inspired and excited about colours, also illustrations, paintings and photography. Beautiful colour and design plays a large part in my illustrations (see @thesuperdraw on Instagram).

Your words to live by
Be kind and compassionate, always (unless someone really pisses you off!)

What cause or causes do you feel passionate about
I had a tour round Great Ormond Street hospital last year as I was helping to raise money for their respiratory department. It was very humbling and hugely impressive and really brought home to me what an incredible place it is. I hope to do lots more with them in the future.

Best piece of advice you’ve ever been given
To go to art school, advice given from my father. I was leaving school and had places at quite a few top universities. My dad rang me and said ‘Do you REALLY want to read history of art and English?’ He knew that ultimately I wanted to be creative and be around creative people. He said, “I always wish I’d been a sculptor and I didn’t do it and I regret that.” So I went to St Martins School of Art and it really did kick start my whole career.

Your London in an hour
I would first go to Liberty, my favourite shop in the capital and peruse the jewellery cabinets, the clothes departments and then I might sneak up to the wallpaper department! Then I might head to the Josh Wood Atelier in Notting Hill to get my hair sorted. If I had a little longer I would go to a great exercise class like Box Clever sports in Notting Hill (a great boxing gym in a disused car park on Ladbroke Grove).

Your favourite London view
We used to live in South West London and I loved the views across Richmond Park with all the deer.

Are you working on anything at present
I am always working on Get The Gloss – it is a health and beauty website and we have numerous articles going live daily . We write about the very latest in beauty and health and we use the industry’s top experts to help us create the latest news and stories. I have also started drawing again and have started up an Instagram account called @thesuperdraw where you can see my paintings.

Describe your style
70% modern classic, 20% pretty, 10% fashion.

Whose style do you most admire, past or present
Jean Shrimpton in the 60’s. I also have a huge girl crush on Olivia Palermo.

Favourite piece from the ENLIST collection
I love the Lana blazer I bought – I can throw it on with anything like jeans by day but also it looks great in the evening. The Emily Sweater is also a beautiful rollneck for winter that I can imagine I’d wear with jeans, skirts, under jackets.
