Mario Arena and Peter Farrow are the creative force and masterminds behind ENLIST.  Having both grown up in Australia, they now live in North London with their pug, Pugsley.

Who or what last made you laugh out loud
Mario: My 14 year old pug, Pugsley.  He makes me laugh every single day.
Peter: When a team member breaks from professionalism to spontaneous fun mode- its infectious. 

Who or what inspires you
Mario: Anyone with dedication and passion for what they do in life.
Peter: The mantra that ‘anything is possible’ – as we have found in creating this new brand. If you want it enough and dare to dream, it’s yours for the taking. 

Your words to live by
Mario: It always works out in the end, even if it’s not the way you imagined it.
Peter:  Enjoy the here and now, we all work hard lets enjoy our achievements.

What cause or causes do you feel passionate about
Mario & Peter: Animal wellbeing and children in need.  We also support a charity that helps women return to the workforce by giving them an outfit to wear to interviews and the first day of work.

Best piece of advice you’ve ever been given
Mario: In my mother’s words, ‘never give up’, something I have returned to often whilst setting up a new business.
Peter: Keep focused, flexible and true to yourself.

Your London in an hour
Mario:  A lazy wander round the labyrinth of gems that form the iconic store Alfies antique market and then onto Selfridges, followed by a few well-earned cocktails at Harry’s Bar in the basement.
Peter: Seeing what’s new at Daunt bookstore in Marylebone – the highlight for me being a browse of the interiors books, its where I go to get away from the hustle and bustle of every day life.  It also has the added bonus of being located just around the corner from my other favourite haunt, Chiltern Firehouse, where I like to sit in the Ladder Room with Mario and Pugsley (dogs allowed!) with a glass or two of champagne.

Are you working on anything at present
Mario & Peter: The launch of ENLIST has been pretty all consuming, but we are so proud of what we have achieved and are so excited to finally be able to share the brand with everyone. Although we love it, as anyone in fashion knows its unrelenting – as soon as you have one collection finished, it’s on to the next, but we wouldn’t have it any other way!

Describe your style
Mario: Paired down luxury with a preppy edge.
Peter: A mix of simple classics reworked, where a pair of white jeans is a necessity.

Whose style do you most admire, past or present
Mario: Yves Saint Laurent – his designs literally make my heart skip a beat. A true creative genius.
Peter: Alan Delon – the epitome of understated cool.

Mario: The men’s Raglan Coat – it completely cocoons and envelops you. And the women's Alana Dress.
